Clifton Davis is an American celebrity, songwriter, vocalist, and minister with the estimated net worth of $3 million. He graduated from Oakwood University using a B.A. in Theology. Then he earned a Master of Divinity from Andrews University. He’s an ordained minister of the Seventh Day Adventist. Davis started his professional career as a songwriter, and is well-known for the #2 hit Never Can Say Goodbye by the Jackson 5. He also composed a piece for Chicken Soup for the Teenage Soul where he described the racism he endured while growing up during pre-Civil Rights Act age. Clifton made his performing debut when he played the part of barber Clifton Curtis to the television show That’s My Mama. In 1977, he appeared in the movie Scott Joplin. He costarred with Sherman Hemsley in the NBC situation comedy Amen between 1986 and 1991. He was the mayor of Miami in the 1999 movie Any Given Sunday. He’s also performed on stage as Doctor Dillamond in the very first North American touring production of the acclaimed musical Wicked.
